NOTICE
California Rules of Court, rule 5.610 requires that:
(1) A child who is ordered transferred in custody must be delivered to the receiving county
within seven court days. All court files and other documents must be delivered with the
child;
(2) The court files and other documents for a child whose case is transferred, but who is not
transported in custody, must be transmitted to the receiving county within ten court
days.
California Rules of Court, rule 5.612 requires that:
(1) For a child who is transported in custody, the receiving court must conduct a transfer-in
hearing within two court days after the child is delivered to the receiving county, if the
child remains in custody;
(2) For a child who is not detained in custody, the receiving court must conduct a transfer-in
hearing within ten court days after the documents are received by the clerk of the
receiving county.
