NOTICE OF MANDATORY SETTLEMENT CONFERENCE

The El Dorado County Superior Court has adopted the following expedited
program for limited civil collection actions.
At the first Case Management Conference, if a matter is contested, the Court
will set a Mandatory Settlement Conference within 45 days. If the matter does not
settle at the MSC, the Court will set a trial date within 45 days.
Prior to the MSC, the parties are to meet and confer (in person or by telephone)
and exchange all trial exhibits. It is the obligation of the plaintiff to assemble the
exhibits, number them in sequence and deliver two copies, securely fastened, to the
Court at the MSC. Exhibits not exchanged and assembled may not be used at trial.
The parties are encouraged to use the procedure for testimony by declaration of C.C.P.
Section 98.
The MSC and the trial will take place before Stephen B.R. Keller, Temporary
Judge, without a jury, unless the Court assigns the matter to another judicial officer.
