Superior Court of California, County of Orange Probate/Mental Health Department Probate Notes Probate Examiner Notes are summaries prepared by the probate examiner after reviewing your petition. Notes will include an identification of the parties involved in your matter, the relief sought, information that a report or objection has been filed, notice requirements, and a list of any deficiencies that need attention in your petition. A petition with deficiencies will show up on your notes as a question or a statement preceded by the word REQUIRED. Probate Notes will also inform you if you need to file a new document to correct or explain information to the Court. *Note: All additional requested documents must be filed at least 5 court days before your hearing date. Approximately 3 weeks before your hearing date, Probate Notes will be ready for your review. If your hearing is continued, Probate Notes will be available again approximately 3 weeks before the next hearing. How to Retrieve Probate Notes: Start on the court's public website www.occourts.org Look for the tabs at the top of the page.
