CALENDAR PROCEDURES FOR EX PARTE HEARINGS
The court has prepared a local form for ex parte requests. The procedure is as follows:

The ex parte request form should be completed before faxing to the court.
Fax the request to 916-408-6285.
The calendar clerk will pull the file and place the request on the judge's desk for priority.
The judge will indicate the decision to grant or deny the ex parte request by completing
the bottom (“Court Use Only”) portion of the form.
The calendar clerks will contact the requesting party via fax and inform them of the
decision made by the judge.
Denied requests will be placed in the file.
Calendar clerk will schedule granted ex parte requests according to available dates and
times provided by the judge.
The ex parte request will then be placed into the file as a moving paper, until the order to
show cause is submitted to the court.
The requesting party needs to be at the court a half an hour before the hearing to pay the fee
and file the Declaration Re: Notice of Ex Parte Application for Orders, and the order to show
cause.
