DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROTOCOL: If you are or have been a victim of domestic violence perpetrated by the other party, you may bring a support person to the FCS appointment and/or you may elect to meet alone with the child custody recommending counselor. (Support persons may not include significant others or persons who may be called as witnesses in your case.) PERSONS NOT PERMITTED AT CHILD CUSTODY RECOMMENDING COUNSELING: Parents shall not bring their children to child custody recommending counseling unless specifically directed by the Court or FCS to do so, nor may they be accompanied by any third persons who may be disruptive to the child custody recommending counseling. Such persons will be directed to leave. NOTICE: Child custody recommending counselors may consider only those materials which are filed and served in compliance with Local Rule 9.14. NOTICE: Child custody recommending counseling sessions are confidential and may not be recorded. (Every person who, without the consent of all parties, records confidential communications may be punished by a fine or imprisonment or both. No evidence obtained as a result of recording confidential communications is admissible in any proceeding (Penal Code 247 632).
