NOTICE TO ALL ATTORNEYS/PARTIES The local rules on ADR in the Cobb County Superior Court require that the first ADR session in allcases should take place within 60 days of the selection of the Neutral; However, due to the complexityof some civil cases, we understand that you may need additional time in order to complete morediscovery before you are able to attend an ADR session with enough knowledge to make a good faithattempt at settlement. Due to this fact, please remember that an extension of the time limit within whichto complete ADR may be granted, upon request, until the completion of initial discovery, if you feel itwill make the mediation process more beneficial to you or your client(s). Requests for an extension of time within which to mediate should be made upon receipt of the referral notice. This may be accomplished by submitting the following consent document to the ADR office withsignatures of all involved parties. Any subsequent extensions of time for ADR past the initialdiscovery period must be granted by the assigned judge in the form of a consent motion/order.
