150.10 Dram Shop Act--Injury to Means of Support--Loss of Society--Only Owner, Lessor, etc. Sued There was in force in the State of Illinois at the time of the occurrence in question a statute called the Dram Shop Act providing that every person who shall be [injured in means of support] [suffer a loss of society] by an intoxicated person shall have a right of action against any person owning, renting, leasing or permitting the occupation of any building or premises and having knowledge that alcoholic liquors were to be sold therein or who having leased the same for other purposes shall knowingly permit the sale therein of alcoholic liquors that have caused the intoxication of such intoxicated person.
