Order Setting Binding Arbitration Schedule
The parties having previously agreed to submit this matter to binding arbitration , and the case previously having
been referred to the Chicago Bar Association Matrimonial Fee Arbitration Project, and the parties having complied with all
prerequisites in this Court's prior Order, it is hereby ordered that:
Within seven (7) days of today's date, the Attorney in this matter shall provide to the Chicago Bar Association, addressed to
the Chicago Bar Association Matrimonial Fee Arbitration Project, Arbitration Project Coordinator, 321 S. Plymouth Court,
Chicago, Illinois 60604, four (4) copies of each of the following: (1) this Order; (2) the Petition for Setting Final Attorney's
Fees and Costs; (3) all responses and replies thereto; (4) the written attorney/client engagement agreement; and (5) an
explanation of time spent and professional services rendered on behalf of the Client with pertinent copies of time and billing
records. At the same time, the Attorney shall provide the Client with copies of any such documents prepared by the Attorney
that have not previously been provided to the Client.
The Chicago Bar Association Matrimonial Fee Arbitration shall be conducted by the date of ____________________
_________________________________________________, subject to extension or postponement by the Chicago Bar
Association for good cause, and the parties shall file the Arbitration Award with the court within three (3) days of receipt of
the Award from the Chicago Bar Association.
Fee proceedings before this Court shall be stayed until conclusion of the arbitration, other than any required status,
and the parties shall refrain from collection activities related to disputed sums pending the outcome of the arbitration. Upon
entry of this Order, neither party may withdraw from the arbitration process.
