RULES AND CONDITIONS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE (ROCRS)
I understand that credit for community service hours will only be given if the rules below are followed:
1)
The worksite must receive a written schedule or timesheets from the Community Service Coordinator before the
defendant starts. It is the defendant's responsibility to report to the appropriate Community Service Coordinator with
a copy of the court order to set up a schedule. Report in person to the office near your residence as follows, Monday
through Friday between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm:
North End - Elgin Probation Office, 80 S. Grove St., Elgin, IL 60120 (847) 742-0050
South End - Aurora Probation Office, 122 W. Downer Place, Suite D, Aurora, IL 60506 (630) 897-9555
Tri-Cities and Transfers outside of Kane County - Kane County Judicial Center, 37W777 Rt. 38, Suite CS100,
St. Charles, IL 60175 (630) 406-7196
CREDIT FOR HOURS COMPLETED WILL NOT BE GIVEN UNTIL THE COMMUNITY SERVICE COORDINATOR
HAS APPROVED THE DEFENDANT TO START.
2)
The defendant must sign in and out each day of work. The defendant will also sign out for all breaks that have been
approved by the Site Supervisor. CREDIT WILL NOT BE GIVEN FOR ANY HOURS THAT ARE NOT
PROPERLY LOGGED ON THE TIMESHEETS.
3)
The worksite will return the original copy of the timesheet to the above address upon completion of all hours
assigned. CREDIT WILL NOT BE GIVEN IF THE TOP COPY IS REMOVED FROM THE WORKSITE BY THE
DEFENDANT.
4)
Hours should be completed ONE MONTH PRIOR to the final court date or as otherwise directed by the sentencing
judge. Any hours completed after those dates may not be accepted.
5)
The defendant will follow the instructions of the Site Supervisor. If the defendant feels the instructions are
unreasonable, the Community Service Coordinator should be contacted immediately.
I HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM AWARE OF MY LEGAL OBLIGATIONS TO PERFORM PUBLIC
SERVICE OF SUCH TYPE AS DEFINED IN 730 ILCS 115/1a-f AND THAT I DO NOT HOLD THE WORKSITE,
STAFF OR SPONSORS RESPONSIBLE FOR INJURY OR LOSS THAT I MAY INCUR WHILE PERFORMING
SAID PUBLIC SERVICE.
I FURTHER UNDERSTAND THAT FAILURE ON MY PART TO COMPLY WITH THESE CONDITIONS MAY
RESULT IN FURTHER COURT ACTION.
