Users will be automatically directed to the Department of Treasury’s Internet payment process when electronically filing any document which requires a fee. Filing Users will be presented with a payment information screen that includes the cardholder name, address, and credit card information. Once the payment has been successfully completed, Filing Users will automatically return to ECF to finalize the transmission of their filing. Enrolling as a credit card user will allow you to electronically file all civil initial pleadings electronically beginning on May 1, 2006. All electronically filed documents, which require a fee, will automatically direct a credit card user through the Department of Treasury’s Internet payment process. Pursuant to Joint General Order 05-03, effective September 1, 2006, all cases, proceedings, motions, mem oranda of law and other pleadings or documents filed with the court 1 must be filed using the Electronic Case Filing System. Therefore, you should anticipate that all fees collected via the electronic filing of docum ents will require a credit card effective September 1, 2006 .
