A hearing will be scheduled to verify the identity of the parties, to verify proper notice to interested parties, to determine that the rescission is voluntary on the part of both petitioners, and the impact, if any, the rescission has on the rights of inheritance. The court will mail a Notice of Hearing by first class mail to all interested parties. "Interested Parties" are petitioners (Adoptee and parent whose parental rights were terminated); husband or wife of petitioner whose parental rights are to be restored; and the stepparent who adopted the adoptee (whose parental rights will be terminated) and his or her current spouse.
