MONTANA SECRETARY OF STATE LINDA McCULLOCH Farm Bill Buyer Registration For "Paper" Master List Distribution Only FARM PRODUCTS Enter the specific farm product(s) you are registering to receive on the form under heading title "Farm Product". COUNTIES For each farm product, provide the county by entering the word "all" if you want all counties in Montana for that farm product or list specific county/counties on the form under the heading titled "Counties". The Farm Bill Master List will reflect only those farm products produced and/or located in the county you indicate on your registration form. CROP YEAR For each farm product, provide the year by entering "all" years if you want all years to appear for that farm product or you may enter a specific year(s) on the form under the heading titled "Years". If entering specific years please list all four digits (e.g., 2013, 2014, 2015, etc.). The Farm Bill Master List will reflect only those farm products that fall within the year(s) you indicate on your registration form. OUTPUT FORMAT You may choose between two different output formats. Only one output format may be selected on the registration form. 1) Alpha Output: Lists "active" Effective Financing Statements in alphabetically order by debtor name within each farm product listed. 2) Numerical Output: Lists "active" Effective Financing Statements in numerical order by debtor's Social Security Number or Tax ID Number within each farm product listed. MONTHS TO RECEIVE THE REPORT You can choose to receive the Farm Bill Master List only on selected months, or all months of the year. SIGNATURE For the registration to be accepted, the form must be signed and dated by an authorized representative of the organization. OUTPUT MEDIA You may only opt for "paper" output using the attached registration form. To receive the Farm Bill Master List electronically you must register through the SIMS online service. The "paper" Master List reflects "active" Effective Financing Statements (EFS Liens) for the farm product, county and year you selected in either alphabetical or numerical order depending on the output format you requested on the registration form. The list is then compiled and mailed to the Registered Buyers no later than the 20th of every Month. If you fail to receive your Monthly list, please call (406) 4442468. FEES There is no charge to register, amend or cancel your Farm Bill Buyer registration but there is a $20.00 fee applied for each month you receive the Farm Bill Master List. State law requires fees be paid in advance, you must send prepayment prior to the 15th of each month to receive that month's Master List. AMENDING YOUR REGISTRATION You may amend your Buyer Registration Form for no charge by sending a written request of the change to the Montana Secretary of State's Office. Note: Our office submits the Farm Bill job on the 15th of every month, which requires your request for change to be received prior to the 15th or the amended information will not appear on the Farm Bill Master List until the following month. CANCELING YOUR REGISTRATION You may cancel your Buyer Registration Form for no fee by sending a written request of the cancellation to the Secretary of State's Office. Note: Your request must be received 30 days prior to the next Farm Bill run on the 15th or you will receive and be charged for that month's Master List.
