Appendix A Lancaster County Court THIRD JUDICIAL DISTRICT Appointment Request Form The Lancaster County Court selects attorneys to provide legal representation to indigent persons at a rate of $50.00 per hour for Misdemeanor cases and other cases. The District Court pays a rate of $75.00 per hour for Felony cases and a higher hourly rate to be determined by the District Court in death cases. The Courts will appoint attorneys who are qualified and request to receive such appointments on a rotational basis, subject to the Courts' discretion to make exceptions due to the nature and complexity of cases.
