American LegalNet, Inc. www.USCourtForms.com>>>> 2Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure(NRCP) 16.1 requires the Plaintiff and Defendant, or their respective counsel, to hold an Early Case Conference, which is a time for them to meet and confer regarding the facts and issues of the case. The Early Case Conference must be held within 30 days of the filing and service of the Answer. By st ipulation of the parties, the conference may be continued for no more than 90 days after the service of the Answer, and under no circumstances can the conference be continued for more than 180 days after the service of the Answer. A Joint Case Conference Report is filed at the conclusion of the conference and is meant to provide the court with an overview of the case and to reflect the plan of the parties to resolve the matter prior to trial. If the parties cannot agree on the content of the Joint Case Conference Report, the Plaintiff or Defendant may file their own Individual Report. If an Individual Report is filed and the non-filing party agrees with the content of the filed Individual Report, a Notice of Joinder may be filed to show the non-filing party=s agreement with the Individual Report. This Notice of Joinder fulfills the NRCP 16.1 requirements for the party who did not file an Individual Case Conference Report. - 1 - February 19, 2003 American LegalNet, Inc. www.USCourtForms.com
