Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure (NRCP) 4
requires that the Summons and Complaint be
served on the Defendant within 120 days after
the filing of the Complaint. If the Defendant is
not served within this time, the Complaint may
be dismissed. The Plaintiff must submit an
Affidavit in Support of an Order Extending Time
to Serve Summons and Complaint and the
Order to Extend Time to Serve Summons and
Complaint to the Department assigned to the
case prior to the expiration of the 120 days.
