Consent to Accept Electronic Service and Notice of
Motions Initiating Contested Matters
I agree to accept service and notice by electronic transmission of motions that initiate
contested matters under Fed. R. Bankr. P. 9014 in cases that are pending in the United States
Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada.
By signing this consent, I acknowledge that electronic service and notice of motions
initiating contested matters will be considered to be the equivalent of service and notice by mail
under Fed. R. Bankr. P. 7004.
This consent constitutes a written consent to receive electronic service and notice of
motions that initiate contested matters by direct email as well as through the ECF System.
The bankruptcy court maintains a list of the names of persons who have consented to
accept electronic service and notice of motions that initiate contested matters. The list of persons
is available on the court’s website at www.nvb.uscourts.gov. The court does not maintain a list of
their email addresses. The email addresses of those who have consented to accept electronic
service and notice must be obtained without assistance from the court.
This consent does not constitute an agreement by an attorney to accept service or notice on
behalf of a client. Furthermore, this consent does not alter the other service requirements that are
in Fed. R. Bankr. P. 7004, such as to whom or where service must be made.
The consent will be effective upon signing. It remains in effect until it is withdrawn. In
order to withdraw, the attorney must submit a signed, written notice to the clerk of the Bankruptcy
Court for District of Nevada.
