POINTS AND AUTHORITIES
Pursuant to NRS 40.300(2) “the court, judge or justice of the peace may
shorten the time within which the defendant shall be required to appear and defend
the action…” The term “appear and defend” in such statute means to file an Answer
to the Complaint. Pursuant to Justice Court Rule, time can be shortened to no less
than ten (10) judicial days.
