The persons named hereon have been granted the
privilege, during the current season, of making entries
on the U.S. side of the body of water named herein
without reporting to a U.S. port of entry when
traveling by small pleasure craft of less than five net
tons without merchandise to be landed. Except for
U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents of the
U.S., the permit is valid only if such persons intend to
remain in the U.S. for the purpose of visits not to
exceed 72 hours and only if they will remain in nearby
shopping areas, nearby residential neighborhoods; or
other similar areas adjacent to the immediate shore
areas of the United States.

NOTICE
Accompanying persons not named on this permit must be inspected by a United States
Immigration Officer. Arrangements for such inspection may be made by telephoning the nearest
United States Immigration Office in advance.
If the persons named hereon seek to enter the United States by other means or seek to enter
the United States for other purposes or (if not United States citizens or lawful permanent
residents of the United States), intends to remain in the U.S. in excess of 72 hours, or intends
to travel beyond nearby shopping areas, nearby residential neighborhoods, or other similar areas
adjacent to the immediate shore area of the U.S., then they must apply for admission at a U.S.
port of entry.
Fee: The fee for filing this application is $16. The maximum amount payable by family
(husband, wife, unmarried children under 21 years of age, parents of either husband or wife) is
$32.
Authority: The authority for collecting the information on this form is contained in 8 U.S.C.
1225(a). The information solicited is required in order to obtain the benefit requested. The
principal purpose for which the information is solicited is to determine basic eligibility and
facilitate the inspection process. The information requested may also, as a matter of routine
use be disclosed to other federal, state and local law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
Paperwork Reduction Act: An agency may not conduct or sponsor an information collection
and a person is not required to respond to a collection of information unless it contains a
currently valid OMB control number. The reporting burden for this collection is estimated to
average 10 minutes per response. Send comments regarding this information collection to the

Merchandise landed in the United States must be reported immediately to the
nearest Customs Office.
