INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS WHO ARE ATTORNEYS
REGARDING ADMISSION TO PRACTICE BEFORE THE COURT
The Application for Admission to Practice should be fully
executed and sworn to before a notary public. The executed form
should be returned to the Admissions Office of this Court,
Room 111, 400 Second Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20217,
together with a current certificate (within 90 calendar days)
from the Clerk of the Supreme Court or the highest court of your
State, or of the District of Columbia, or any commonwealth,
territory or possession of the United States, showing your
admission to practice and membership in good standing before the
Court. You must also submit with the above documents, a check or
money order in the amount of $35.00, payable to the Clerk, U.S.
Tax Court, $10.00 of which is in payment of the Court's periodic
registration fee.
Upon examination of your application papers and approval by
this Court, your name will be entered on the Roll of
Practitioners of the Court, and your certificate will be
inscribed and forwarded to you. If you wish to obtain a copy of
the Court's Rules of Practice and Procedure, you will need to
submit to the Intake Section of this Court, a check or money
order in the amount of $ 0.00, payable to the Clerk, U.S. Tax
Court. The Tax Court Rules are also available at the Tax Court’s
official web site, www.ustaxcourt.gov.
