NOTICE ABOUT MEDIATION Mediation of the parenting plan enforcement issues may be required in your county. A separate Order will be issued if mediation is required. A Waiver of mediation may be granted on showing of good cause. The mediation papers you receive should include a form to request this waiver. If they do not, ask the court clerk for the waiver forms. NOTICE REGARDING TERMINOLOGY These papers refer to “Parenting Plans”, “Parenting time”, “visitation” and “visitation schedules”. Time scheduled for non-custodial parents to spend with their children has traditionally been referred to as “visitation”. The 1997 Legislature enacted laws changing that term to “Parenting Time” and the “visitation schedules” to “Parenting Plans”.
