The Wisconsin mandatory CLE requirement is administered by the Board of Bar Examiners, an agency of the Supreme Court of Wisconsin. The Board is an
eleven-person volunteer body appointed by the Court to carry out SCR Chapter 31. SCR Chapter 31 and duly adopted Board rules govern the Wisconsin
mandatory CLE program. The instructions below are intended to guide completion of the CLE Form 1, not as substitutes for the rules themselves.

EXEMPTION FROM ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT

2. Complete the EPR statement on the reverse.
4. Lawyer must sign and date the form*.
5. Retain a copy of this form for your records.
6. File this form with the Board of Bar Examiners.
SPECIAL NOTES:
• Attendance must be completed by December 31, 2008 to
avoid penalties.
• Filing is effective on the date the CLE Form 1 is received at the
Board of Bar Examiners office during regular business hours
(7:45 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, except holidays). A
complying CLE Form 1 must be filed by February 2, 2009.
• A $50 late fee will be assessed for noncompliance or late filing.
• Carryover of hours will be allowed for 2007-2008 approved courses
that are reported on a timely-filed CLE Form 1. Exemptions, waivers and
comity do not generate carryover.

The Supreme Court of Wisconsin has mandated a 3-hour ethics and professional responsibilty (EPR) requirement as part of its regular 30-hour requirement

TEACHING
TEACHING CREDIT: SCR 31.05(3) governs teaching credit. Lawyers who teach approved courses are entitled to claim an additional hour for each hour
taught. On lines 13-14, indicate the number of hours actually taught in the "Hours Taught" column and double that number in the adjacent column. Lawyers
who also attended a portion of the course may claim attendance credit for those hours in the "Attendance" portion of the form (lines 1-10). To receive proper
credit, list attendance and teaching separately. Teaching an entire law school course yields one hour for each hour taught.
