Domestication (moving from a different jurisdiction or home state to a new jurisdiction or home state) means a transaction authorized by AS 10.55.501-10.55.506. NOTE: Pursuant to Alaska Statutes 10.55.505(c), after a plan of domestication has been approved by a domestic (Alaskan) domesticating (moving from current home state to a different home state) entity and before a statement of domestication becomes effective, the plan of domestication may be abandoned by submitting the following Abandonment of Plan of Domestication. ITEM 1: Provide the domesticating (moving from) entity name, the Alaska Entity Number (if applicable), the domicile or jurisdiction (home state), and the entity type of the domesticating entity. NOTE: The name must match the name of the domesticating entity in the Plan of Domestication or listed in Item # 1 on the Statement of Domestication. ITEM 2: A Statement of Abandonment can only be filed after a plan of domestication or Statement of Domestication has been filed with the department and before it becomes effective. (Note: the effective date is the date filed for record with this division or a future effective date if provided in the Statement of Domestication.) ITEM 3: This statement is required by statute. Please read through and verify. ITEM 4: The statement must be signed on behalf of the domesticating (moving from) entity (listed in Item # 1 on the Statement of Abandonment of Plan of Domestication) in the following manner: (a) If the domesticating entity is a corporation, by an officer of the corporation; (b) If the domesticating entity is not a corporation, the person authorized by the entity; or (c) If the domesticating entity is in the hands of a receiver, trustee, or other court-appointed fiduciary, by that fiduciary. If the domesticating entity is currently on record with this division (has an AK Entity Number) and the signer is an official of the entity then the signer must be currently on record with this division. Provide the printed name of the signer, the full title/capacity of the authorized signer, the name of the entity that the individual is representing, and signature of the individual authorized to sign.
